Weekly Photos – Seattle 3

This is probably going to be the final post from our Hawaii/Seattle vacation.

One of the places we stopped while in Seattle was the Pacific Science Center.  The main reason we went to the science center was the Pompeii exhibit since my wife is a big fan of that time period, but they also have pretty good butterfly exhibit where I was able to take the photo below.

  1. What a beauty! I was fearful when I read your lead in that I was going to see an image of a magnificent butterfly pinned to a display board. (We humans. Gak.) This is much, much better. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Thanks for stopping by and liking my post about my cats. I also am a VERY amateur photographer, as you can see from my cat photos at http://pussycats3.wordpress.com I do enjoy taking their photos and the bird life at the lake behind my house. Please see http://sunshinebrightblog.wordpress.com for those. Your butterfly is lovely. Is this really a butterfly? I reminds me of a large rare moth that is also quite beautiful that I saw years ago near another house I lived in. I am going to follow your blog. I like your photography subjects.

  3. Thank you for liking “Otherworldly.” I like butterfly photos, and yours is wonderful. 🙂 It has amazing detail. The colors and patterns on the butterfly’s wings are very beautiful, and I like being able to see the veins of the leaves.

  4. Pompeii? Man, I’d love to see that. I went to Tacoma’s Point Defiance and had fun taking photographs within the gardens there. I’ll be posting some of those soon. Your photos are fantastic! (I’m such a rookie.) You got to see the tropical butterfly exhibit? Both things sound exciting to be able to do and photograph. I’ll be browsing your posts. 🙂 Thanks for blogging.
