Acadia – Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse

My wife and I spent last Thursday to Sunday up in Acadia National Park.  She’s in the midst of switching jobs so the week in-between presented us with a nice excuse for a short vacation.  We stayed at the Clark Point Inn Bed and Breakfast in Southwest Harbor, which we partially picked for the food.  Seriously though, if you like food and find yourself in Acadia, you should stay there.

Anyways, Acadia is about a five and a half hour drive for us, so Thursday night we didn’t get a chance to do to much on the island.  However our B&B was about a five minute drive from the Bass Harbor Head Light, which is where I was able to get the shot below.

  1. Thanks for liking the picture of the lonely monk. It is my husband’s site beingaphotographer and we work together. I am a journalist. Greetings from Germany. Have a lovely week. By the way, I studied at Albany and I do know Boston well. Love it.
