Just got back from an amazing vacation. We were in Seattle for a few days to meet up with my brother and sister in law then Hawaii for a week. The trip included many fantastic adventures and photos. I was hoping to start posting these sooner, but when I got back I started having computer issues, so I’m going to keep my first post quick.
The photo below is one of the Banyan trees that was growing on the Waikiki beach. It just struck me what an interesting tree it was, so I pulled out my wide angle lens to capture the full tree and trunk.

Was in Hawaii recently but sadly only for a day’s cruise ship port call. My blog will cover this later this week. Want to go back there!

What an amazing tree! How tall was it?

It was probably around 40-50 feet tall.

Hawaii is awesome – my college buddy grew up there, and I had a chance to run into him while he still had family there many years ago. Still remember mangoes all over the ground like weeds, and finding great places for plate lunches all over.
